Boeremusiek omgedraai. Rewolwe is a dynamic four-piece Afrikaans alternative rock metal band hailing from Pretoria, South Africa, formed in 2023.

The group is made up of lead vocalist and bassist Eddie Jordaan, drummer/percussionist Eduan Croukamp, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Juan Snyman, and lead guitarist Ryno Janse Van Rensburg —all childhood friends with a shared passion for music that pushes boundaries.

With a unique blend of powerful grooves and introspective tones, Rewolwe draws inspiration from music that delves into thought-provoking themes of anti-culture, oppression, loss, and self-discovery, all set against a backdrop of soaring lead guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and hauntingly powerful vocal melodies. This isn’t just rock—it’s rebellion.

Currently preparing to release a self-produced debut EP, voor die hand-liggend, Rewolwe has already started building a loyal following and begun touring the Gauteng music scene, sharing the stage with several amazing artists. With an EP on the horizon, Rewolwe is poised to further solidify a place as one of the most exciting and emerging voices in South Africa’s alternative rock scene.
